Journey-Tourny
Joey and i left Beachton around 5:00 and checked in with Casey around 6:00.We had planned on fishing out of ST.marks due to the low tide but we got a bad scouting report so we figured we would put in at Carrabelle and head towards Lanark. We backed down to the end of the ramp and the boat was not wet.
.We drove back to Lanark to find Tin Can waiting on the tide to rise.Had a nice talk with John and then watched as he ran out in about 8" of water.Awesome rig TC.Joey and i decided that we wouldn't be able to put in anywhere until 11:00 so we might as well go to where we knew we could catch some reds(ICKY).We pulled up to the ramp around 10:00 and visited with capt.Gary for an hour until we decided we could launch.Backed her in an
,still nothing,so Joey backed in again and slammed on brakes.Thinking i could push her on in i stood on the trailer and pushed until my foot slipped and i head butted the trolling motor
.Now my shoes are wet ,my head hurts like hell and the boat is still on the trailer.Joey repeats backing and stopping 2 more times until finally we're in the water
.We start fishing around 12:15 and locate lots of reds .throw spoons at um but they spook so grabbed the jerk shads and bam fish on.Soon after,Joey hooks up and all i can see is spots so i grabbed the net and lean out.I hear Joey say too bad they don't have a spot pot today,so i say they do and we're in it which explains why i am half way out the boat with the net.We boat one more nice 24 incher and head in to Jerrys.Saw Jeff and One Keeper at ramp, said they had a 7 spotter, thought ours was 7 or 8,until Joey tells me 14 as we hit 98.Sorry no pics, headbut to trolling motor and only having an hour and 45 minutes to fish messed me up.Enjoyed it and look forward to Keaton.

Maybe I need to start hitting my head on the T-top, trolling motor and that Merc strapped to the transom.
Good seeing ya'll again.

Never heard of trying to launch a boat with your forehead; but, whatever works.
That cash probably made it feel a little better.

sheeesh...from Carbelle to Icky. that spotty red will barely pay the gas bill. Way to stay after them
