a good Battery charger ?

Can anyone recommend a good battery charger for marine batteries? It doesn't have to be a "quick charger", just one that works. I've been lookin' & comparing alot of different brands and wondering if anyone has had good luck with any particular make...
Also, should you take the battery out of the hull while charging it ?

Richy are you looking for an on board charger? I have a die hard charger from Sears that I bought a few years ago for my jon boat battery and it does a great job. You also don't have to take it out of the hull as long as it can vent.

Nah, no onboard charger. Just a solid "plug~in" charger to hook up while sitting in the carport. The reason about removing the battery is ... I read in my old 1997 tattered & torn OMC manuel that I shouldn't jump start or charge the battery ... or at least thats the best I can make out, as I said the book is pretty torn~up ...

Sears flyer in today's Democrat has a Diehard charger with 10/2 and 50 amp starting capacity on sale for $40. Normally $65.

I've had a similar Diehard for years and it has given me good service.

I have a Sears charger also "20+ years"

I also have one of these that I use on the boat "also one on the golf cart, and both mowers"

I would skip the Harbor freight chargers ive had 2 because they are so cheap but they crap out in like 4 months or less and always at the most inconvenient times. I have the one they sell at wally world that has a digital readout for charge percent/voltage 5/10/15 amp and it charges 3 diff types of batteries for like 60..

And can I keep an adequate charge on both batteries by hooking up a float charger to one?
