Need rod repair/overhaul of an old boron spinning rod in SW Georgia/
NW Florida area. Sure would appreciate any suggestions. I'm looking for basic refinishing and advanced customized wrappings.
Thanks in advance for any help!
My brother-in-law is retired Navy and now has a business out of his house of building/repairing/restoreing rod and reels. He lives in the Albany area. I'll PM you with his phone number.
RTHFISH, let me know how things work out for you. I've got a Hedon (sp?) split bamboo bait caster that was built in the early 40's. I've held off for years trying to decide whether or not to have it refinished. It may be worth more to leave it the way it is but would be interested in knowing where/who to contact if I decide to have it worked on.

He did some good work for me last year on some old Daiwa Black/Gold spinners.
E-M-C, thought you might like to know Rivers Sporting Goods is gone. The building was demolished for the widening of Adams Street. Don't know if he's relocated, or just gone.
