NFGFC Keaton Beach Tournament Info
The North Florida Gulf Fishing Club will be holding a tournament on March 7, 2009 at the Keaton Beach Marina. I'll be collecting entries from 5:45 until 6:30 a.m. at the fish cleaning stations - this is also where everyone docks their boat until it is time to leave. Safe light begins at 6:30 a.m. at which time an announcement will be made to all tournament participants. The weigh-in begins at 3:30 p.m. Please remember to check in with me before the weigh-in begins so that I can mark your team's name off the list.
The entry fee for the tournament is $20 per team of members and $25 for any team that has a non-member on the boat. It is important to note that you must have at least one member (who is paid up on their dues) on your boat in order to be eligible to fish the tournaments.
There will be an optional big trout pot of $5 per angler for any tournament participants. The heaviest trout wins the pot. Each person in your boat must participate in order to be eligible to win the pot.
There will be also be a $10 redfish side pot. Like the trout pot, each team member must enter the pot in order to be eligible to win the pot. The heaviest legal redfish wins the pot.
The Badcock and More Mystery Fish species for this tournament will be cobia. The heaviest legal cobia weighed in the March tournament will win $205 ($200 from Jay Evans, $5 from Tom Keels).
If you have any questions about the rules or our tournaments, feel free to check out www.nfgfc.org or email the officers (whose email addresses can be found on the site).

Let me get them Numbers!!!!!!!!
Re: NFGFC Keaton Beach Tournament Info
It is a team tournament, not an individual one. The team with the heaviest legal one person stringer of trout (1 over 20", 4 between 15" - 19.99") wins the tournament. What a mess wrote:Is it per boat or per person in the boat?

I ment the $20.00 vs $25.00 entry fee, I thought it used to be per person, it is now per boat it been a couple of years since I fished one.

We need to work on our critical reading skills: "The entry fee for the tournament is $20 per team...and $25 for any team that has a non-member on the boat"What a mess wrote:I ment the $20.00 vs $25.00 entry fee, I thought it used to be per person, it is now per boat it been a couple of years since I fished one.

I packed my bag last night. Respooled with new Sufix from SGO, new reel, new rods, replaced some hooks. The camper went down Wednesday. Rum in the freezer and beer is on ice.
We're gonna have a hell of a time.
