Post by ragansm1 »

Taking the family out tomorrow to Steinhatchee. Great family day planned. Need help on the bait of choice for the day with the water still in the 50's. Would like to catch something to pass tday on. I know most of you will be in Keaton kicking butt. Any help would be helpfull.

i would use the GULP SHrimp or some shiny spinning baits the gulp u want to get the stink out and fire them up then use the shiny stuff to let them see something they might want to eat after firing them up. caught plenty of them like that.

Caught reds on topwater and trout on soft jerkbaits this weekend. My 10 y.o. son caught 3 trout and a red on a 1/8 th oz. jig head with a 4" swa just reeling it in. I'd give that a try.
