Keaton 3/6 and 3/7
Butch and I put the boat in at about 11 a.m. Cleared the end of the pier and went scouting.
The Big Trout hole was beautiful. Only problem was no trout there.
Headed to spot #2....no fishes.
Spot #3........still nothing.
Spot #4 was Spot on. By now it is 2 o'clock and the fish are biting.
Soft jerks and hard jerks took a double limit. Most of these fish are 19 1/2 to 24".
No one is there but us.
This will be our go to spot for Saturday.
After fun and food at the Friday night cookout, we hit the sack about 9:30 p.m.
Up dark and early Saturday, we what for the signal to go.
No water on the flats, very little in the channel. Got to see Never2Late run aground while following the BassBoyz veer from the channel.
We head on down to our secret spot and prepare to follow the tide in. As soon as there was enough water to float the boat on our hole we start catching one here and one there. All good 19 plus fish.
We hook a couple pigs that shook the hook a few feet from the boat.
Look around to come out and re-drift and see 12 other boats behind us.
Work our way through them and set up again. Put the power pole down(skeg on a bar) and finish out our 2 man limit.
Could not boat the over 20 that we needed, but still weighed over 10 pounds with none over 20.
First time we ever had a plan and stuck to it. It worked out fine. It was our fault for not getting a good hookset on the big ones.
I am ready for the next one.

Re: Keaton 3/6 and 3/7
JT you and Brother Butch did very well working a plan. I"m really tempted to ask about that plan but I won't
I saw Never2Late walk'n round his boat with his britches rolled up.. but I thought he was looking for shells.
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
Re: Keaton 3/6 and 3/7

That was a fine stringer by any standards.

In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.
