Garmin 182 Software Upgrade

Post by dolphinatic »

I've been trying to upgrade the software on my Garmin 182. It had version 2.0 and Garmin told me the newest version was 5.2 or something close to that. They sent me the upgrade card, but all it says is "Scanning for card" I left it on for an hour with no change. Checked the number on the card and it is the correct one according to Garmin. Every time I call Garmin, the wait is 35 minutes :x Can any of you guys help a brutha out or familiar with this issue?????

Thanks!

Bring it by the house and I'll upgrade it through my software on the PC. That's the way I did ours.

You have to send config files from the unit to the card before it will read it. Took me awhile to figure that out on Paul's boat. Look around in settings
