Keaton

Post by Sea Spot »

I prefished friday with no luck so I made a few calls and Jared called a buddy to try and get a game plan up for saturday. We used a map to plan our day.As soon as we came off plane we saw tails everywhere. We eased in but only managed one fish but it was 18',a good start. We moved to our second hole and right off i hook into a pig ,i get her up on top but she turns and breaks off.We power pole down and Jared lands an awesome tourney fish, just under 20.I pick up another 18 incher and then we're surrounded by boats so we head north and pull into spot 3 where we see birddog coming out with his hands held out.(TOO Late). We head south where we see some good looking bars so we ease in and man did it get fun.Their was plenty of fish their but they were all 21to 22 inches. We had a blast culling 21 inch fish but lost 2 fish that would have moved us up a little.Learned alot about keaton by trial and error but friday night several club members offered advice that put us on fish, that's something you don't see much now a days and i really appreciate it.Had a blast seeing you all at fish fry, enjoyed fishing with you Jared and Steve i will have new blades for electric knife next year.

There are some good ol' boys in the cub but you gotta watch a few of them too.

Enjoyed the tourney Sat. Had a good time fishing with Kieth and learning new areas. I am looking foward to another trip on the water Saturday. Good to be able to put a face with a name Friday night and the food was great.
No matter what, it's a good day.
