Thinking about going Friday

Post by Welby »

I've been outta the game lately but I'm seriously considering taking off Friday to breath the slaty air. I was thinking maybe Keaton or Econfina....I will gladly accept any advice from all you tournament fishermen, sounds like ya'll slayedem last weekend....I'm throwing pride out the window...I'll listen out for any input.

Tight lines,

I'd look for creek mouths and shallow structure.

We were there Sunday (Anky) and the water was 63 when we got there, 65 later that day. I would think that with the warm weather we have had this week, water temps should be getting around 68 - 70 . Magic numbers for trout. I would almost bet there will be trout out on the flats this weekend.

Go gettem'

The plan right now is to head down FRiday afternoon and fish Saturday and maybe Sunday, depending on the rain.

I agree! See you there! Haven't had the ole FNS Barge in water since "Mike the Man" closed some holes in the bottom...trust it still floats!
Reminder to self.....stay off those rocks and oyster bars except when in the mud boat!

I went out and put a new battery in the Ol' Pro last night, hit the starter and she fired right up. I'm a gonna be on the water Saturday AM. Rods n' reels will be in the boat, but we might not even deploy them. I just gotta gets me some salty air!
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!
