ladyfish and sharks

Post by vaviper »

When do the ol sharks and ladyfish start moving in? We had a blast last year fishing for them and cant wait to do it again. Iam praying the winds slow down. I got the boat already to go. Took the prop to gators and they did a great job. Thanks for the recomendation from here to go to gators. They are good people and Phil (I think is his name) knows his stuff. My bill was $5 less then what I was quoted so that always good.

I want to go out this weekend but I am not looking forward to the Chop!

The ladyfish usually arrive after the spanish mackerel which are already showing up. I believe the ladyfish like water a little warmer than the smackerel. Sharks are probably around, don't know for sure. Hope the wind lays soon too, but it will probably next week before its fishable for us. If it blows more than 15 I rather stay ashore than fight the chop and wind.
