A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
After hours of work I got the new GPS/Sonar mounted and the transducer cable fished through the hull and everything mounted last week. I was so proud I took a couple pictures.
Went out this evening to dust some leaves off the boat cover and was disgusted to find this.
Here is the suspect.
Now I have some decisions to make.
1. Buy and install another transducer and hope it doesn't happen again.
2. Go with a through the hull transducer
3. Get rid of the dog
Any other ideas???
I hope Spot can pass a transducer. I just paid about a grand to have a wine cork removed from the gut of my wife's junk-yard dog. Something like that happens to me every time I get close to affording a PowerPole.
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

"Tater" didn't actually ingest anything. He just chewed right through the cable and chewed a little on the transducer.
Tater was just protecting you from the potential harm of you hitting your knee on that protruding object. He didn't know better and should be praised for his efforts ... right after you beat the shitz out of him for doing it in the first place.
