I can only reply to that in that I went to school, got an education (which is free for all) and then WORKED to get what I have. I have driven basic vehicles all my life, lived simple, and lived in a 950 sq foot house until I was 45.
I have no guilt about what I have now. I have a nice home I paid for. I have no debt. I am 54 and have worked all my life except when I was sick a week or 2 maybe.
I have been laid off, but did not go apply for unemployement or food stamps. I went out and got another job.
When I was in my late 30's, I started my own business, and was successful. I even came through an ex-wife trying to destroy my life and take everyting I had, all the while she was living with her new "boyfriend".
My current wife and I pay 220 per month for health insurance, and she has had some surgeries. Now even though I have insurance, we also have to pay some on the bill. Yet we have a "friend" that had a 3000 dollar bill, and has no insurance "because I do not wanna pay for it" and what do they do? Go fill out some papers and their bill is wiped out totally.
Mad? You're damn right I am. This country is heading toward socialism at an alarming rate, and making hard working folks (like me) say, "What the hell, why work hard?"
The point made by the photo is that folks out there have money to get cell phones, yet go to soup kitchens. If you do not see something wrong with that, then you are part of the problem.
Read this while it lasts, I don't think this thread will last too long.
