Be careful out there guys.

With the forecast for saturday, they should have not even been out there. Hope this was not anyone in our group.

Still sad, just the same. :smt009

A shame. Can't imagine a wave that big only 100 yards from Shell Island though. Doesn't sound right.
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!

I can't imagine anyone being out in that weather if it was anything like it was here. That was a powerful storm and we were not hit as hard as places around us. Prayers for the families are needed. Safety 1st guys fear is my friend it keeps me out of trouble.
Yesterday it was taboo today it is normal what the heck will they be doing tomorrow?

Remember, this is the Shell Island at Panama City. I regularly go there. I have seen waves in the cut on a GOOD day near 8 feet in spots.
If they were just outside the cut saturday evening, I can only imagine the waves.....

Yep, the waves can get extremely large around that inlet. Just think of the cut at St. George, and multiply it by 3. So sad. My prayers go out.

Hunter Miller, the one that did not make it, owned Miller Plumbing here in town, and the other fellow Archie, showed up to work this morning. Neither had their PFD on.
