NFGFC Hotel Information for St. Joe Bay Tournament Weekend

Post by caseycook »

I spoke with the manager at the Mainstay Suites in Port St. Joe and was able to line up a discount for all NFGFC members staying in the Mainstay Suites the weekend of May 7-10 (our tournament weekend). They are offering us discounted rates for all types of rooms, but rooms with 2 double beds are $109.00 (plus tax) down from the usual $139.00 (plus tax). Reserve your rooms now and make sure and tell them that you are with NFGFC to get the discount. NOTE: This discount does not apply if you reserve your room online.

I also spoke with someone at the Port Inn...they're giving NFGFC members a 10% discount on hotel rooms that weekend. Please let them know that you're an NFGFC member. A room with two double bed usually goes for $119.99 (plus tax) and will now be $108 (plus tax). Plus the Thirsty Goat is a great bar located in the hotel!

When you make your reservations, be sure and thank the folks at both establishments. They were very helpful and are excited to have NFGFC members stay in their hotel.

I just talked to Mr. George Duren who owns Bluewater Outriggers and he has graciously offered to open the store as early as we need to hold the registration. He will also have coffee and donuts waiting. Along with that he has offered to have the weigh in at the store and will donate some fishing tackle, and rod / reel combos as well for the raffle. Please do some shopping at Bluewater that weekend to support Mr. Duren and his willingness to help the club out.

We can probably have a few libations on the Cape, it is my anniversary weekend though  :smt007

My recommendation would be to see if we can get Gracie O'Maley's to sponsor us. Nothing like sitting on a rocking chair, on a cedar deck, looking out over prime trout territory and sipping on 2 for 1 drinks...
