Got a call from Seaspot Sunday afternoon around 7pm. He asks if I wanna head south Monday Morning and I say only if the sun comes up. Meet him at 6. Of course forgot the seat cushions for the Maverick so we had to run all 5 miles back to the cabin and pick them up. Better than a case of the sore azz. Also, it was 44 degrees, I was in no hurry. Go to back in the ramp with the new jeep, hear a scraping noise. Powerpole has once again lowered itself with no help

. Realizing at this point Ive forgotten the remotes

, I have SS back me on down. The new relay in the powerpole has once again decided to come on by itself, so unplug the powerpole. Out of the river into the shallows, knock the hell out of a rock. I told SS if bullshiot and bad luck come in threes, were done. Other than the 62 mph wind gusts, it was a beautiful day. SS hooks up with a nice red.
Fished for a good while longer and the trouts finally started to show up. Here's a nice 25.5" trout on the TSS.

Fished on for a while more, landed a few more solid trout between the two of us and then was making a last ditch effort to try and salvage a decent day. Who knew you could catch a football in a foot of water? 21.5", 5 lbs on the boga(Honestly)
Decide to hit a creek on the way in and SS puts another good red in the boat which allowed me to relieve some space in the livewell from my 20" red that we were deciding whether or not to keep. Thanks for the bailout Keith!
A dang good day of fishing with a good friend. The wind was fierce most of the day. Water temp never got over 65. Fished in under 3 foot all day. Great time Keith, cant wait to do it again.
