NFGFC April Tournament Results
We had a great tournament as 32 teams showed up to fish the April NFGFC tournament out of Jerry's Bait and Tackle. The weather was beautiful, but the recent rains really had the water stirred up and as a result the weights and number of fish caught were down.
Congrats to Robbie Green, Hunter Green and Warren Smith for winning this month's tournament. Their five fish weighed 12.40 lbs and won them a cool $335. Team CCB also picked up the second place big trout winning them an additional $25 courtesy of Custom Detailing.
Second place was worth went to the team of Ashley "Warrior" Mock and Junior Dice. They weighed in at 10.98 lbs with an absolute monster of a 25" trout weighing 6.11 lbs. That trout won them $201 and now makes Ashley Mock the person to beat for the Matthew's Fishin' Stix rod given to the angler weighing the biggest trout for the tournament year. They also picked up $295 for first place big trout. Congrats guys.
Third place went to Casey Cook and Pat Irwin as they weighed in five trout for 10.07 lbs. They won $134 for their efforts.
The redfish pot was won by the team of Eric Keyser, Blake Hill and Bryce Hill for weighing in a very nice redfish that tipped the scales to 7.37 lbs. That fish won them $370.
The team of Keith "Seaspot" Waldrep and "Big Trout" Bobby Ryan won $50 for catching the heaviest flounder at 1.31 lbs. They are also the current leaders for the Kevin's Sporting Goods big flounder of the year award.
A pompano was not weighed at this tournament and so the Badcock and More Mystery fish pot rolled. Next month it'll be worth $400.
Our next tournament is May 9, 2009 in Port St. Joe. Details will follow and I hope to see y'all there.

Hey, top 15 with 4 fish means it was a tough tournament. Congrats to everyone who caught fish. There were some very good fishermen who ended up with a goose egg.

Thanks Casey and Pat for all your hard work .
Re: NFGFC April Tournament Results
I was pleasantly surprised that a weeks worth of terrible weather and poor water conditions didn't reduce the size of the crowd. Thanks to Casey and pat for all your effort in making these tournaments a success. Thanks to all of our sponsors for their contributions. Congrats to the winners on a very tough day.
What was I supposed to do today?
