Procraft, Maybe its just me but I feel uncomfortable reading ALL posts on this forum WHILE AT WORK. Perhaps the economic struggles are a direct result from the loss of productivity. This falls on the shoulders of Chalk and Tom. :smt005 I feel like an addict almost every day. Regardless of content, I think everyone on this forum contributes to my little piece of appreciated sanity. I appreciate all topics of all types.
Im sorry but did you ever think that maybe your job is much different than mine? I find that statement annoying.. you somehow assume that I am not managing a business. I'm very productive at work and actually my job is based around the internet in some part or another. Browsing my forums for 15 min total a day I doubt will effect productivity. The business I manage is far from struggling right now.

Ill go back to trolling and keep my posts to myself..sorry to interupt everyone back to pissing and whining lol.. :smt014

That would force the Fed. Gov't to have to run off Tariffs and excise taxes primarily. However, that would put a different challenge to the states as far as running public schools, infrastructure, state military, etc. States could then decide how they want to raise revenue, and just what programs they would want to impliment.
This would leave the Gov't to very limited duties. Ex. Millitary, Execitive agencies, and so on. The debt would have to be distributed to the states. This would also allow states to not be forced to Federal mandates or loose money. Like speed limits, drinking age, emmission standards, or so on. Personally I think the .08 alc. limit is to conservative. Not that I am for drinking and driving.
Problem is this method could cause problems such as some states becoming much like undeveloped countries, while leaving some states being more like much more modernly develped.
This system would definatly reduce the size of the Federal Government, however I as well as you can see other problems. I don't think it will ever happen, but I think it would give states more freedom on how they want to run there perspective states, and get more people involved in the state and local governments. An idea anyway. No, I am not on the Koolaid, not yet anyway.

I personally hate politics and try to avoid it most of the time.. I don't like the way things are going but I doubt pissing and moaning about it on a fishing forum will sway anything one way or the other.. I enjoyed the pictures and think they are great...

I think this forum is labeled "OFF TOPIC". If you do not wanna wade through it, just don't look at it. The BBF forum is categorized so you can avoid just that. I do not freshwater fish, so I never read the posts there.

On the other hand, if someone posts religion, politics or other stuff in "salt water reports" for example., warn him once, ban him next.

I see nothing wrong with political posts, as long as you do it in off topic, and do not single out anyone to try to trash. Heck, even Tennessee is entitled to his opinion here. :smt005

And fishermen have a big interest in politics as they are losing more and more rights to do it every year.

Religion and Political posts are like serving beer at a gun show. Nothing good can come of it.

This what happens when fishermen get stuck off the water for 2-3 weeks with no pole fix. Worse then a bunch of junkies at a methadone clinic! And to think...we give women a hard time about their "time of month". :-D

Going to have to disagree with this one. I believe that Religion and Political post when discussed in a mature manner is another example of our freedom we all share in this great nation. Its writen in my bible to share my faith every chance i get, and its writen in my constitution that i have the right to free speech.. Thats just my .02 "Dont ban me bro"!!!!!!
I come from a small drinking community with a fishing problem

I am spoiled by the view new posts button.. I guess if it gets to bad i can always just browse the forum..

And I agree that fisherman are interested in politics and I would be too if the current topic had anything to do with fishing..

I think that the Tea party was a great thing and it fits within our mold.. Its not that I hate politics because lets face it most of us are Republicans and how much could we argue(alot lol) but when a Democrat comes in and posts something political will we allow the same courtesy and respect..?

I am a registered democrat.
I am also a baptized catholic.(at birth).
Both conditions were hereditary or imposed at birth.
I chose to stay registered as a democrat for the early voting opportunities to vote for or against an individual(not a party vote). In the general election I vote republican because they have the same values I admire.
When I was 18 years old I chose to be baptized again, as a Baptist.
I am strongly considering becoming a muslim so that I can chop peoples heads off and have sex every 4 days.
