This mornings forecasts called for good conditions except for the chill in the air. I was hoping to find some tailing fish early on before the tide and wind would pick up like I did last week. I brought along my good friend Will who will be heading off to the Marines after were done at FSU hoping that I could get him on some decent fish in shallow water. I began poling from my cooler and it wasn't long after found a pair of fish that were wakin' close together, we both led them by a couple yards with DOA red glitter shrimp and a terror-eyez. Unfortunately, only one ate my DOA shrimp. It was an awesome bite, that fish's back came out of the water to feed.
Here's Will and the perfect conditions:
As soon as the tide really started kicking, we started to look for some trout in the deep troughs with top water Orange and Black Spook Jr. & Gulp Skrimp. Saw some trout working finger mullet, and like Emeril says "Bam" two fat trout both around 17 and 18. It was a good day out there with my buddy Will and I hope he kicks Taliban tail in the Corps and some good blackened trout sandwhiches for lunch. Today was way better than going to class.
Nice day on the water! I wish I could skip school and fish but this last week has got me tied up. By the way I think me and u park in the same lot across from FSU. Do u park in the gravel church lot? I drive a green ford f-150 four door with a Hewes sticker on the back.
