Egg Sinkers.

Let the depth/current dictate your weight.

Use the lightest lead you can get away with. I carry 3oz, 4oz, 6oz and 8oz.

Use a carolina rig instead. Chicken rigs are for kids and tourists catching beliners and triggerfish.

You can do it if you snell your hooks. I usually rig a double snelled 2/0 circles for mangroves.

I use 65lb power pro for a mainline and flouro leader. 40 lb if I'm targeting snapper, 60-80 for grouper and ajs.
