5/8- Sneaked out of work at lunch and launched at the St Marks Lighthouse and headed east. Didn't really expect to do much with the strong falling tide but caught alot of short trout. The water is starting to clear-up a little.
5/9- Launched at Econfina State Park and headed east. The target was cobia so we proceeded to catch some bait. No cobes but managed a first-ever keeper grouper. I was surprised to catch one so shallow. Got a few trout on the flats too. Water is still really stained but getting a little better.
I am just glad to get last season's skunk off the boat!

Boggob, don't want gps numbers or anything but am wondering how shallow was "so shallow"? Anything 20'+ won't surprise me in the least but any closer in this time of year/with water temps rising will. Just curious...boggob wrote:No cobes but managed a first-ever keeper grouper.
