WENT BACK TO THE PRIVATE POND AGAIN THIS MORNING AND CAME HOME WITH 52 NICE SPECS, RAN FROM 3/4 # TO 2 1/2#, THEY LOOKED LIKE SILVER IN THE SUNLIGHT. CAUGHT 12 BASS, BROUGHT 2 HOME AROUND 3 #. SURE WISH THE WIND WOULD LAY DOWN SO I COULD GO GET SOME SALTWATER TROUT.

Mr. Earl, sounds like you need to stick to freshwater fishing with luck like that. Uncle Henry said he was heading back down there to fish the Camp Pond he might need to pick you up first to be his guide.
HEY NATUREBOY, I AM AFRAID THAT I WOULD NOT MAKE MUCH OF A GUIDE, THE LITTLE BOAT I USE IN THE PONDS IS ONLY 13 FT. LONG AND ONLY HAS ABOUT 4 IN. FREEBOARD UNTIL YOU GET A MESS OF FISH AND THEN THE FREEBOARD DROPS DOWN TO ABOUT 2 IN. THIS POND THAT I AM BEING INVITED TO IS (PRIVATE) I WOULD NOT DARE TAKE ANYONE IN THERE WITH ME, THE OWNER JUST ALLOWS 5 DIFFERENT PEOPLE TO FISH THE POND AND I AM FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO BE ONE OF THEM.
