Captain Ron showed me this knot....leaves you with a smaller knot than a double uni. Key is going out the same direction you came in with the tag end.

It's like a nail knot except you wrap back over instead of through the middle of the wraps.

I suppose any talk of surgeon loop, doa loop, perfection loop, dropper loops and various other knots would end up with a :smt017

:thumbup: I like the Improved Albright (Alberta Knot) for my tarpon rigs. It's great for two dissimilar sized lines like 30 # braid to 80# flourocarbon.

Very good knot :thumbup: :thumbup: I have used it for a couple of years now and have not had one knot failure,,,,knock on wood :thumbup:
Never have used it on Mono to Mono but I would guess it would be just as good.
