Can't get away from work on Saturday's, so I called in sick to Church on Sunday. I don't make a habit of this, but I just could'nt stand it any longer. Launched around 6:45 and headed out. Started with some top-water plugs, had a couple slap at it but no takers. Finally, had a nice red blow it up and break me off . Struggled early only netting 2 reds and 1 flounder before lunch. Really nice flounder red #1 was 17" and # 2 was 21". About 12:30, things picked up some. We netted 5 more reds 18", 22", 22" 25" and 26.75", and 1 trout that went 21". Headed in around 2:00. Beautiful day, lots of fun, even the Fed. game warden who checked us when we go to the hill couldn't turn this day south.

didn't think about that. i think about feds when duck hunting, but not fishing. interesting.....very interesting. so they have reason to check fish as well even though folks would most likely not be fishing in federal waters out of aucilla?
