Advantage Timber

Post by Charles »

Doesn't work. From the road I clearly saw my newest hat laying in the bahia grass on the shoulder.

But don't worry. Just send me anything you have in Advantage Timber and I'll be very happy to quite selflessly take care of it for you at no charge.

Charles, camo is no different than fishing lures. Lures are designed to catch fishermen. The government has decided digital works better, anyway.
What was I supposed to do today?

MARPAT camo. I'm not even gonna' get started. Except to say that was more a political decision than a practical one.

I agree with the comparison of the different camos and lures. I think regular clothes in some of the earth tone colors, some shades of brown, green, gray, etc., work as well if you stay still. If you're moving around camo doesn't work.

I used to like playing OPFOR. Finding a nice spot to lay still and let an "enemy" patrol walk right over me. People don't see what they're not looking for, and if they're looking for you out in front of them they'll look right over you if you're laying at their feet. Even if you're not fully camoed. Some of the reactions to popping up in the middle of a patrol, or ambushing the patrol from immediately behind the rear security element were pretty funny. I spent 6 months doing OPFOR in Grafenveer and used to love spending the night slow crawling inside perimeters. We would raise hell outside their perimeters to get them to give away their positions. It was a great 6 months wearing Civilian clothes and growing long hair and a beard.
