I am looking at two Garmin products.

1) Garmin 172C GPS/Map
2) Garmin 250C Fish finder

These are new products and I was wondering if anyone has either of these, or knows anything about them. +'s and -'s

I'm pretty much set on the GPS, but I'm not sure about the bottom machine. I'm also looking at a Sitex, and a Lowrance.
If none of these are good, then what should I get?
I feel like the dealers are trying to BS me into buying the most expensive unit possible.

Any information will be much appreciated.

Just bought a Garmin 240 Blue myself. I'm installing it this week. The documentation seems to be very well laid out...

I'm looking at that unit also. Are you using a through hull transducer or a transom mount?
