Still down here at P.C. on vacation with the family. The temp. finally cooled down enough for me and my step dad to head out. Started off in the bay about 1/4 mile east of St. Andrews Bay. Did not have much action, other than hanging a lady fish on a purple toad. Hit a few other spots (not sure the name of them, ive never really fished this area) and caught nothing. We started a drift just inside the pass and were im guessing about 250 yards north of Alligator point. Started slinging a puglisi fly out over the grass and Wam.. Here we go. It was about 4 hours of catching Blue after Blue. They weren’t very big but they were fun to catch on the fly rod. We had a few dolphins hanging out around the boat the entire time trying to steal our catch from us as we brought them in. They were successful several times. Let me tell you, when a dolphin takes your blue, and your fly is still in the blue fish, you better hang on, ive never seen my drag go out that fast. Luckily the fly came out after about 20 seconds inside the dolphin. Didn’t keep any fish but had a dang blast.
