Been a while since I've posted anything, but I figured since I was trying something new for me, what the heck I would let y'all know about it.

Put in at the Fort around 11:00 with my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew.
Was going to go inshore, but noticed that the seas weren't all that bad, so
we headed out to try some trolling. Now, this something I have never
done or seen done, except on T.V. I have read about many of you guys
doing it and decided what the heck. My sister and all were up for anything.

Went out to around 30' and tied on a Stetch 25, blue and white, and
learned that I needed to read the directions a little closer. Finally got the
dang thing to stay under and away we went. We trolled the same lurer for
about 4 hrs. and we landed 2 Gags (1 Keeper) and a nice Rock Bass.
These are the first grouper that I have caught and the first caught from
my boat. My brother-in-law got the honor of reelin in the keeper grouper
and my sis got to reel in the rock bass.

All in all it was a great time on the water and by my standards it was a
productive day. My sister, who is an avid fisherwoman, enjoyed trying
something new with me and had a great time. I would like to thank alot
of you guys that post reports on here so that novices like myself can learn
and enjoy the wonders of fishing. I hope I can do more trolling cause it
can be a relaxing time on the water. :D

Sounds like a great day.........I really don't like trolling(I like bottom fishing) but I've done it a few times with some sucess. If you're on the water.......it's a GREAT day.
Time on the water is NEVER wasted time.

"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
