Lanark Village - 6/27

Post by leesburgga »

Put in at Lanark this morning about 8:30 and headed to Dog Island Reef. Reef was covered in Spanish. We were trying trout on gulps under CT and kept getting cut off. We could see the spanish coming by the boat. Eventually switched to some spoons and gotchas with wire leaders.

It was our first trip there so we did more looking and boat riding than fishing. We headed to the other end of Dog Island (east pass) and trolled from some kings. Picked up one king and 2 spanish (20 inches plus). Water was pretty rough out the buoy line so we decided to call it a day. Grease is warming up now...

The ramp was not crowded too bad. We parked in the boat club parking lot next door without any problem.

Did not notice any scallops.
