Well I feel better after reading the other reports. My wife and I managed 3 keeper trout Saturday, one spanish. Sunday 1 trout 1 spanish. BIL and his wife didn't do any better Someone said there was a tournament going on Saturday. Maybe that explain's the crowd.Anybody else here that ? Sunday am we got to the ramp about 6:45 and were the second trailer in the lot... Fishing was lousy but the company was good and the was cold. Maybe next time.
If you caught a Spanish you were in the wrong spot for trout, the bigger trout are still hanging in the creeks and on the outsides, out on the flats are smaller trout and a few spanish.
Nice to finally get to meet you Jim. Wind first thing Saturday morning was unreal. Had a full charge on my trolling motor battery, and I had trouble a couple times pulling against the wind.
Yes it was nice to meet you as well. I agree the wind was HOWLING. I saw you in the marina. I stopped to get shrimp. I was 9th in line and seven had to get a license. Decided we would fish without live bait. Don't think it would have helped a lot Sunday 's weather was better but still awfully slow fishing. Maybe next time
