Had Jason (a coworker), along with Dave, Calvin on this trip looking for trout. Forgot to bring the camera so no pictures on this trip except the kill shot I took before cleaning them this morning - so I will make this short. We managed to bring home 18 trout plus 2 spanish but had to work all day to find them (8-5 pm). Interestingly, we caught mostly smaller fish (less than 18'') in the morning during the outgoing tide and all the big fish (from 19-22'') were caught in the afternoon during the incoming tide, also lost quite a few nice fish due to operators error. We were using live pinfish fishing in mostly 4'' to 5' water as it seems the fish quit bitting when we ventured to less than 3' water. I am sure the fish are deeper as well but it was blowing pretty good most of the day so was too choppy to fish deeper. The water temperature was 88 degree in the morning and hit 90 degree in the afternoon.
While we were catching bait in the morning near Dekal beach, a water sprout touched down around Yates, about 3-4 miles from us. We watched it for a good 5 minutes before having to run away from it. That was cool.
