Goodbye St. Joe Bay
The pontoon navy has invaded St. Joe Bay!!! I will miss fishing there!!! Maybe the prop scars will heal quickly!!! Until September 10th, good luck St. Joe Bay!!!

A friend of mine that guides around Keaton told me yesterday that he was done for the summer. He was gonna have his boat "summerized" instead of winterized.

I'm not going to complain. I make good money running scallop charters in St. Joe Bay and out of St. Marks. When it gets this hot, it is a welcomed change.

I feel your pain, BG. And I like to take the kids scalloping. It's mainly that I loath the congestion at the ramps and on the water.

Re: Goodbye St. Joe Bay
I feel ya'lls pain. When I was young, you could go scalloping or fishing on the weekends and even during holidays without having to fight the boat traffic. The scalloping traffic has gotten a little ridiculous the last ten years or so. I agree with birddog, it's the congestion at the ramps that bugs me the most, so I bought a kayak. Now it never takes me more than a few minutes to launch, and it's not that far to paddle if it's scallops you're after. If you wanna take your family, buy a whole fleet of kayaks. It's fun and good excercise!

It's amazing that there aren't at least 5 or 6 shootings at the ramp everyday.

Nothing like watching an individual try to load a 28 foot pontoon boat for about 15 min. with a line about a mile long and he's oblivious to everyone around waiting on him.Get fired up thinkin bout it.

I look forward to slaloming through the scallopers...it's an added feature that most don't appreciate
