Livewell ?

Post by Sea Fox »

My fill pump give up and while I am at it I was wanting to put a better airating system than just a good stream filling the tank. My tank is 65" long and 15 wide so it holds alot of bait. Now it fills on one end but I could plumb to both sides. Any Ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, SF.

I guess that everyone is a artificial fisher. I have a plan just thought someone might have a aireater bar that worked well.

try searching google or other sportsman websites for custom jobs, how-to's, etc... there's a wealth of information out there.

You could use a piece of PVC with some holes drilled in it (like the bar you're talking about) and run it the desired length of the live well.
I guess that would work.

I dont have any problem with just a pump and PVC pipe with holes drilled in it....

I think the next level would be something that pulled in fresh water- Heat + crap in the tank kills them faster than the lack of Oxygen.

I am concidering going from a 500 GPH to a 800 GPH pump and make a spray bar and see if that works better. I dont have to much of a problem with bait dieing, I just want them as lively as possible.
