props to Gulf Coast Fabricators

Post by Barhopr »

Thanks to Yancie and his "We can do it" attitude for helping me out with a rod carrier for the road trips. I went to him with what i wanted and he made it happen. I wanted to be able to carry my rods rigged and ready to go without haveing to take up space in the cab of the truck. Here are a few pix of the finished product. Pretty sweet I think. It will carry 4 12wt rods up to 10' long and will handle the "BIG" reels. It will lock down to my roof rack and has a lock on the box.

I bet it makes your truck look like it has a missle launcher on top :-D
Yancie does great work. Put the T-top on my Pathfinder, and the poling platform on my Duracraft. Both are first rate jobs. I've been thinking about adding some rod holders to the poling platform...

Jacknasty: I'm sure he could. I can get him to take some measurements of mine and come up with a price for you if you want. Let me know.

Great looking rig! Especially good to have the lock box. Since the rods will be on the "outside" of the vehicle, if they are stollen, insurance won't cover the replacement if they are not considered to be "locked up".

I'm finishing up on the pricing right now. Standard colors will be white, black, and FWC silver. Custom colors will be available at an extra charge.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys!

Yeah man, that would be awesome. I can't find anybody that will do it reasonably around here.

Thanks
