No trout at Ecofina

Post by TLB2 »

Went out of Ecofina this morning on a slack tide, fished from 5 to 13 ft of water. I didnt catch a trout all day. Bait was everywhere and the grass was matted up. Wound up with 3 rock bass. Decided to fish the edge at high tide and caught 3 reds 1 18in and 2 22inch reds. Called it and headed home around 330pm. :hammer: :hammer:

It is hard to find any grouper to speak of with the extinct ARS. It seems you can't soak a bait long enough to get past them. Either way, they eat good in the meantime. :lick:

Sounds like I need to head elsewhere, if I go Saturday.

The other boats that I seen were constantly moving around. I had to use the trolling motor to try and drift. The redfish were on fire near the bank.
