Saint Marks Trout 8/15/09

Got out crack of dawn on Saturday with the intention of targeting Reds in the creeks. I didn't find any Reds but the Trout were there. Caught two keepers and a couple of shorts. Tried the flats in 3, 5, and 7 feet of water, more shorts, no keepers. Decided to wrap it up around 2pm. I thought about giving it a try Sunday but the forcast kept me in. By the way both keepers were caught on jigs. No takers on top water or spoons.

Thanks for the report. I have been fishing over at Lanark and Keaton more this summer whereas in previous years, 99% of my fishing was at St. Marks. I told my family just yesterday that I am ready to give St. Marks a try again.
