I took advantage of a beautiful afternoon and paddled out at Shell Point. The tide had just turned and was incoming. I caught several dink trout up to about 16" on a Skitterwalk fishing the leeward side of Longbar.
I switched to some various plastics and CM spoons when the water started flowing over the bar. Picked up a red or two on a gold DOA terror eyes and another couple on a glow paddletail.
I finally ended with one on a new CM spoon.
Also picked up this guy with the spoon. Pretty neat looking little feller. Not too bad for a couple hours in the afternoon.
How do you catch a cowfish on a spoon with a bigger hook than he has mouth? Jason you constantly amaze me with that plastic boat. You are gonna have to let me follow you around one day or better yet, let me drive you in my boat. Give me a call sometime.
did you snag that cowfish or what!? those things are always fun to see up close
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark
