A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
I've fished that area in the winter only and the tide wasn't significant then. I'm assuming that the difference between the fort and the lighthouse is about the same as bald point vs. the state park.
I don't know what park these fellas have been fishin at, but it must not be the one here in Sopchoppy The only time that the tide dosn't follow along with the rise and fall "% wise" is if we have had a significant amount of rain "such as lately"!! The tide at the park runs approximatly 1 hour behind the tide at Bald Point and can change as much as 3 to 4 foot between low and high tide looking at the tides for this weekend and knowing the amount of rain we've had, I would say that it will be pretty much a high tide all of this weekend, with the water running out for the most part
