St. Teresa 8/28 Mashes Sands 8/29

Post by 2true »

Been a while since I posted but what the hey. Went off St. Teresa beach Friday with my buddy Judson, and the bite was on for like 3 hours. We could not keep bait in the water. Lots of Lady Fish, 5 trout (3 keepers) 2 Nice Blues (More got off) 1 Mackeral. I hooked into my first bug Tarpon and he doubled my pole over, jumped and shook my hook off. I also watched a big Gar do a back flip when hooked. (Never saw that one before)

Tried again next night, St. Teresa was too rough. Went to Mashes, Judson hooked into something big (wasnt acting like ray or shark) broke him off and once again I hook into about a 6 foot tarpon. I got to fight this one some before he jumped and shook my hook. What a weekend!

wow, definitely exciting!

They are biting! I think the rain and cloud cover is actually helping!
And even though they are a lot like a back up prom date- those Ladyfish are fun!

2true sounds like you had a great time at St. Teresa and Mashes Sands. Me and a buddy have been catchin reds and trout at Bald Point right across the bay. I want to hook into a Tarpon as well. Do you think they are still around St. Teresa, Mashes Sand or Bald Point? Sure would like to hook one. Any information would be great.
