Inshore Grouper ID Help??
Last week I caught several small grouper on Gulp under a Cajun Thunder.
We were just Turkey Point in 5' of water.
The Grouper were 12-15" and yellow colored... Any Idea what species they were?

Probably just juvenile Gags. I have caught them that size and noticed they had a yellowish tint to some of them.

Juvy gags. I hope you released them, they're almost as endahgered as red grouper and red snapper. You'll very likely never see one again.

If you gentlemen will teach me how to catch more fish, I'll gladly teach you how to spell, puntuate, and use the subtle, but effective, sarcasm font.
