Lil Chalk was chomping at the bit to get after some fish today....think he would have hooked the boat up if he thought he could have gotten away with it . Was in one of those moods - didn't want to fish West Bay again - was going to East Bay.....decided at the last minute to go to Tyndall and launch the boat into the SAS. Thought with the approaching cold front and the tide falling all day - the fishing would have been on fire. Fished, Fished and Fished some more - got three reds and a hand full of trout.
Bay is slam full of bait - saw plenty of trout, but only a few shorts and one keeper made it to the boat. Had a blast with Lil Chalk...let him drive the boat some...he had a blast and has already passed out from the days trip.
WTG, Chalk and Li'l Chalk. I bet he did have fun. We noticed Thursday that the trout we hung didn't seem very aggressive, a lot of them just dropped the bait after a short fight. I don't know what caused that, but we caught mostly shorts, too. Are the ladyfish as bad over there as they are at Keaton? I bet we caught close to 20 of them.
