I just learned of this problem. I was out on a personal day and what you explained is not how we do business. I want to apologize for it not getting done the first time. There is no excuse and we made a mistake.

As for the person who said he was quoted $200 and paid $350 to mount his power-pole neglected to tell everyone that his boat required an additional mounting plate that we were not aware of because the boat was not here when we quoted it. We only charged you for the cost of the plate and we also called you right up and advised you of the additional cost and you ok'd it. We are not perfect but we are honest and everyone makes mistakes. I am sure everyone who reads this has a story about a dealer who they don't like.

It is true that all of us have had some good and some bad dealings with a service provider, whether it is a boat place or a car place or a doctor or whatever. When less than satisfactory reports outnumber those of satisfied customers is when businesses should be concerned. I believe this is a good forum to discuss both good and not so good experiences that we have had with local businesses. I also believe we should just stick with the facts and not be mean or judgemental. All of us are able to benefit from accurate information being exchanged.

Purchased my PowerPole from TMC and had them install it. They did a very nice job on the install and had no surprises when I picked my boat up. Charlie did call me to tell me that they would have to put a bracket on the boat because they could not do a transom mount due to the design of my transom. He did sell me the bracket at cost as it was not figured in the original quote. I will take my boat back to TMC, alway hear good things about them.....Hate you had a problem Redfin but honest mistakes do happen.

Seems like a lot of communication problems to me. Has anyone here ever heard of a WRITTEN estimate? If I do not get it in writing, I go somewhere else.

I had a bad experience at Parkway once, but I've heard a lot about the good work they do from others on this site. I didn't think it would be appropriate to slander them because I had one bad experience.

I was pissed, but $hit happens. I'm not calling you out Redfin or Culrich because I expect somebody to do what they say they're going to do. I agree that it was a problem with communication no matter who is at fault.
