Got some schoolin today

Post by wevans »

I had my only boated fish in th eboat by 7:30 this morning :-D I missed or lost at least half a dozon BIG keepers over the next 6 hours :( The boated fish "18" and 19"" came on a CT 18" leader in less than 2 foot of water. I tried a top water of and on all day with not a swirl :o All of the fish that were missed "or mishandled" came from the same depth at different areas, fished the white day-glow/red-tail shrimp all day under the CT. I also killed my trolling battery fighting the wind around the Oyster Bars early in the day  Still got two fish big enuf ta feed the family dinner and enjoyed being on the water for awhile

From what I've seen, there is a LOT more bait now than there was and all of the females are producing row already also. I decided ta go back out and try them bigguns again yesterday instead of Bass :o and in the same area got two 18"ers and a 20"er in 2 hours :-D then had ta head for the house :( The fish just seem ta be bigger so far this year than usual
