New Rigged 2010 Hobie Revolution
Just picked up my new Revolution this past weekend. Same color and everything, so not much new there. Hobie has made a couple improvements to this boat from last year. I liked the standing up aspect so much in my Pro Angler, that I decided to go with outriggers on the Revolution to give me the same type of fishing possibilties.
The Hobie outriggers are easy to install and provide the stability needed to comfortably stand and fish. I also have a Capt. Dicks 10' fiberglass stakeout pole to use as a pushpole when stealth is needed.
They can be easily removed while sitting in the boat
The pontoons take just a few breaths to blow up. They deflate and breakdown then are easily stored in the front hatch storage area.
The only permanantly installed piece is the reciever bar for the pontoons
Hobie changed the seat design by making the backrest 2 inches taller and installing a screw down tightening sytem for pegs that hold the seat in place. This means the seat will no longer be able to come loose on those long pedal days.
Hobie also changed the mirage drive pedals my installing a foam pad on the pedal and small stretchcord to keep the pedals in an upright position.
I'm looking forward to some sightcasting for reds this winter

I like it TT. What time do you want to meet at Lanark tomorrow? I guess I'll have to bring my own poling platform.

One mighty sweet rig right there!
