A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
I got up at 4:20 am this morning hit the the pond at day break. had about 20 ducks pass over and a few come in to the pond , not a barn burner by any means but had a blast with a few friends .ended up with two drake woodies that will be tasty on the grill.
left the pond at 7:00 .picked up my family headed to the Dray line in Albany to help serve thanksgiving lunch to some of the less fortunate in the area . all in all a great thanksgiving day
Watch out for the one who brings a spoon to a knife fight..he is either really stupid or really good with a spoon. <')))><
I've not seen many ducks either..In fact, spent last week in N.Arkansas on the Norfork and White rivers and saw two ducks the whole week ...Did see quite a few high geese..Quite warm out there the whole week. Its got to get colder before we see any duck movement..
Thay are pretty.
For a couple of mornings last week, My better half has been seeing a small raft of 'something' about 200yds off the beach west of Carrabelle. Said she couldn't tell what kind they were...some kind of divers, maybe.
Hope y'all have a good season.
They are coming. Saw many droves Saturday. Went yesterday to my woodie hole. 3 woodies and a blue wing teal bite the dust. As we were getting ready to leave, a flight of 5 canada geese graced us with their presences. Only 3 left the pond. I had my gun in the case, so all I could do was watch.
