Most of you have seen my posts on my motor troubles lately. I think (and pray) they have finally been cured. I fund a Mercury Dealer in Perry (Crews Marine) and they fixed both of my boats. The 17 Pro Line with the 90 HP Merc on it fell victim to ethanol and eat the liner out of the fuel line. None of the other boat repair places checked to see where the stuff in the carbs was coming from beyond the tank.
The 25 HP Merc on the G-3 had a bad stator. The replacements being installed were wrong so they did not work right.
Leaving in the mourning and fishing all weekend. If it is too rough for grouper the the G-3 gets the call and visa verse.

Mr. Crews is one of the hardest working men in the business. I see him at the shop on the weekends all the time. I personally think that the only way to fix a Mercury is to trade it in on a Yamaha, but if you're stuck with one, Crews Marine is the place to take it.
Good luck!

OK I ran both boats over the Thanksgiving holiday. The Pro Line performed perfectly. Problem solved!!!! The little G3 also performed well but had issues at the ramp. A quick trip down to Crews and an adjustment should have the problem solved.
As for the fishing, one grouper two nice rock bass, couple of good reds and two Bonita just for fun.
