My Little Mans "First Salt Water Fish"

Post by DeanMac »

We were down last week in Carrabelle and Bryce started running a Fever (up to 104) on Tuesday and it didn't break until Saturday afternoon. Everyday he asked about going fishing, but he was a sick puppy.

Based on his sickness we had to pass on a kind offer from a member here to take us out and catch a few. Maybe next time.

Well late Saturday afternoon we went up to the the public dock and Bryce was able to reel in a few.

The Sand/White/Silver/Sugar Trout were hitting as fast as the shrimp hit the water. He had a ball, I took three rods but could not even keep two baited up. We went through a cup of froze shimp in a hurry and it was getting chilly, so we filleted up the fish and headed home for some great fried fish and hush puppies

That's a great Picture!

Thanks, he is happy as long as any fish is biting. He even caught a pellican, now that was interesting. It swam over and I thought it was going to mess with the Flats Equailizer, so I started to move it, dang bird dove down for the shrimp. Bird on the fight began.

A local older man was walking bye and coached me on what to do to get the bird off. Needless to say the bird and his buddy swam away and left us along.

will do,

after stretching the pelicans neck about 4 feet trying to pull him up to the dock, the hook straighten some and came out.

We both were happy with that.
