What's your rainy day game plan?

Post by Steve Stinson »

Since the weather doesn't look so great for fishing - what are your plans for today? Here's my list -

1. Take a continuing education course for land surveyors that I need to keep my Alabama license active.
2. Sort out my tackle boxes and replace the rusty hooks on the better lures. (Andrew's favorite since he inherits all the old lures.)
3. Clean and re-spool some of my reels. (Now easier since I took Trout Trent's crash course at the club meeting).
4. Install a depth finder and transducer on the boat if the UPS man happens to stop by this morning.
5. Clean up the garage so we can at least walk through it from time to time... (Anybody need any Jeep parts?)

Wevans I know your pain, I had to deal with that mess from last Friday until yesterday. :(

I'm headed to the woods to put up a new two-seater stand in hopes of getting my daughter a little closer to her first buck. We've got a lot of buck activity just outside the range of the box stand she and I currently hunt. I'm hoping that this new stand will produce for her.

Take the boys to meet their new soccer coaches, then drop them off at Grandparents. Head to Ga to hunt this evening and in the a.m.

It's now 11:00 and I've already given the lab her obedience training, gathered eggs, checked the food plots for new tracks and installed a new overhead light in the carport.... the rest of the day is for killin' beers and watchin' Bama whoop Florida.

I had some new tires put on my truck, roda to Cairo to kill some time & maybe a nap this afternoon.

I do to change some hooks but that can wait a little while.
