I vote satsuma
For citrus in Tallahassee, my favorite has to be Satsuma Mandarin Orange. Easy to peel, almost no seeds, sweet, ripe in time for Christmas gifts and the most cold hardy true orange. I've got 100 oranges on my 5 year old tree this year. Woo Hoo!

Where can I get one to plant? and do you keep it covered from hard freeze, not that it happens often here but occasionally?

Thomasville Road on the east side just north of the light at killearn. I've never covered mine up. My house faces northwest, so planting it pretty close against the house in the back yard has worked out well.
