Reflector for driving with my long tail Mud Motor

Post by bman »

So I know legally all I have to have is a red flag.
But, I always worry about someone plowing into my motor after dark.
I got to thinking about it and made this:
Image
Its just 2" PVC with a reflector sticker spiraled on it.
Drilled a hole in it and hung it on the same carabiner my red flag normally hangs on.

My buddy made fun of me, said it was ghetto  until he drove behind me :smt110
Said It was all of the motor he could see at night and that it was visible for every angle! :smt023

I use a flag and a red blinking bike light. I might add some of your bling as well though. Can't have too many don't hit me signs.
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!

You got way too much time on your hands B.

Looks good though.

Have you thought about turning the motor 180 degrees and putting the shaft in the boat?
What was I supposed to do today?
