I have too. recently they have been pretty much right on. If they say it's blowin 20...It's blowin 20.

Good reference. Thanks. Seems to be a little more straightforward than Sailflow.com

I did a column once on marine forecasting and interviewed the head of NOAA weather. She told me the reason why the forecasts are often off is because they don't have enough buoys/sensors in strategic locations. Sounded like another excuse to throw several million dollars away to me. I suspect the real reason is forecasters today are too dependent on computer modeling. If they actually stuck their heads out the window sometime and checked conditions, they might be a little more accurate. Oh well, as many have said, it's the only job where you can be wrong 50% of the time and still stay employed. :smt005

Other than Congressmen, that is!
